Under one umbrella
The original name of the business was Bananacoast Home Nursing and Respite Care.
Since then we have grown, outgrown, and then grown some more. We originally only provided care in the Coffs Harbour area. But as we grew, we opened additional service areas, with new business names, in the Clarence and Newcastle areas.
These included:
- Newlake Health Services (servicing the Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Lake Macquarie areas)
- Clarence Valley Home Nursing (servicing Grafton and Clarence)
- and Beeall Cleaning (in the Coffs area)
These businesses have now merged into one Subee family. So, these days, we are just called Subee.
Our original premises were in Albany Street, Coffs Harbour. Albany Cottage is now used as a venue for providing out-of-home care, on a short-term basis and for emergency accommodation.
In 2002, we outgrew Albany Street. So, the Subee Coffs Harbour (head office) was re-located to a much larger space in Industrial Drive, Coffs Harbour. We also have the Newcastle head office in Thornton.
From our humble start in 1992, we have grown from a one-(wo)man-show to a workforce of over 140 people. We provide over 50,000 hours of care to our clients per year. And our support staff travel over 4,000km per month to provide help to families in the Coffs Harbour area and the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and Port Stephens area.
